Complete Foot Care Services

Your feet work hard every day, and keeping them healthy is essential for comfort and mobility. Whether you need routine maintenance or treatment for skin and nail conditions, our podiatry services ensure your feet stay pain-free and in top condition.

Condition Details:

  • Ingrown toenails (including surgical removal if required)

Ingrown toenails happen when the edge of the nail grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain, swelling, and sometimes infection. Treatment options include conservative care and minor surgical procedures to remove the ingrown portion and promote healing.

  • Corns and calluses

These thickened areas of skin develop from ongoing pressure or friction, often from footwear. We gently remove the buildup and provide advice on reducing pressure to prevent recurrence.

  • Thickened or difficult-to-cut toenails

Toenails may thicken with age, trauma, or fungal infection, making them hard to trim. We use professional tools to safely reduce nail thickness and shape them to reduce discomfort and risk of injury.

  • Fungal nail infections

Fungal infections can cause nails to become discoloured, brittle, and distorted. We offer diagnosis and management options, including topical and oral treatments, along with hygiene advice to reduce reinfection.

  • Cracked heels

Cracked skin on the heels can be painful and even lead to infection if deep. We carefully remove hard skin, apply moisturisers, and recommend products or footwear changes to support healing.

  • Athlete's foot (tinea pedis)

This fungal skin infection causes itching, peeling, and redness, especially between the toes. We diagnose and recommend effective antifungal treatments and preventive hygiene strategies.

  • Warts (plantar warts, including removal treatments)

Plantar warts are caused by the HPV virus and typically appear on the soles of the feet. We offer various treatment options such as debridement and topical acids depending on the size and persistence of the wart.

  • Blisters and pressure sores

Often caused by friction or poorly fitting footwear, these lesions can become serious if ignored. We assess the cause, provide wound care, and offer padding or orthotic solutions to relieve pressure and prevent recurrence.

Diabetic Foot Health Services

Diabetes can affect the health of your feet, making regular check-ups essential. Our diabetic foot care services help prevent complications such as ulcers and infections, ensuring your feet stay healthy with thorough assessments, wound management, and expert advice tailored to your needs.

About These Conditions:

  • Poor circulation and nerve damage (neuropathy)

Diabetes can impair blood flow and damage nerves in the feet, reducing sensation and making injuries harder to detect. We assess your circulation and nerve function using tools like Doppler ultrasound and monofilament testing, helping identify risks early.

  • Skin infections and slow-healing wounds

Even minor injuries can become serious when healing is delayed by diabetes. We monitor for infections, provide professional wound care, and offer strategies to support faster healing and prevent further skin breakdown.

  • Diabetic foot ulcers

Ulcers are open wounds that commonly develop on the bottom of the foot due to pressure, friction, or unnoticed injuries. We specialise in managing these ulcers with dressings, offloading techniques, and infection control to reduce the risk of complications.

  • Prevention of amputation risks

With regular foot checks and early intervention, we help reduce the risk of serious complications that can lead to amputation. Our goal is proactive care—identifying and treating problems before they escalate.

  • Footwear advice for diabetic patients

Proper footwear plays a key role in preventing pressure points and injuries. We provide personalised advice on shoe choices, insoles, and orthotics to protect your feet and promote healthy walking patterns.

Custom Orthotic Therapy

Foot misalignment can lead to discomfort and pain throughout the body. Our custom orthotics are designed to provide support, improve posture, and relieve foot, ankle, knee, and lower back pain, keeping you comfortable and active.

More on These Conditions:

  • Flat feet and overpronation

Flat feet or fallen arches often cause the feet to roll inward excessively (overpronation), which can lead to joint pain and fatigue. Custom orthotics help redistribute weight and correct alignment to improve stability and reduce strain on muscles and joints.

  • High arches

People with high arches often experience poor shock absorption, which can result in foot pain and increased risk of injury. Orthotics provide cushioning and arch support to evenly distribute pressure and enhance comfort during walking or exercise.

  • Heel and arch pain

Conditions like plantar fasciitis commonly cause heel and arch pain, especially during the first steps of the day. Orthotics are tailored to support the plantar fascia and reduce inflammation by offloading pressure from painful areas.

  • Ankle instability

Weak or unstable ankles can lead to repeated sprains and uneven gait patterns. Orthotics add structural support and alignment correction to stabilise the foot and ankle, lowering the risk of injury and improving confidence in movement.

  • Knee, hip, and lower back pain related to foot posture

Poor foot mechanics can affect your entire kinetic chain, placing strain on your knees, hips, and back. By correcting imbalances at the feet, custom orthotics help restore natural alignment and relieve pain in the joints above.

Sports and Biomechanical Podiatry

Foot pain and injuries can limit your performance and daily activities. Our sports and biomechanical podiatry services include gait analysis, custom orthotics, and treatment for common conditions like plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and shin splints, helping you move pain-free.

Understanding These Conditions:

  • Plantar fasciitis (heel pain)

This condition causes sharp pain in the heel, often worst with the first steps of the day. It’s usually due to overuse or poor foot mechanics. We treat it using a combination of stretching programs, orthotics, footwear advice, and load management strategies.

  • Achilles tendonitis

Inflammation of the Achilles tendon, typically caused by repetitive stress or sudden increases in activity. Our treatment focuses on reducing strain with orthotic support, therapeutic exercises, and targeted load progression to promote tendon healing.

  • Ankle sprains

Often resulting from rolling or twisting the ankle during sport, sprains can weaken the joint if not properly rehabilitated. We offer biomechanical assessments, taping, strengthening protocols, and footwear advice to aid recovery and prevent recurrence.

  • Shin splints

Characterised by pain along the inner edge of the shin bone, this overuse injury is common in runners and those with flat feet. We identify contributing factors and provide orthotic correction, activity modification, and strengthening programs to ease symptoms.

  • Flat feet and high arches affecting movement

Abnormal foot mechanics can disrupt the way you walk or run, leading to strain and injury. We evaluate your gait and prescribe orthotics or footwear modifications to restore balance and reduce stress on muscles and joints.

  • Stress fractures

Tiny cracks in the bone caused by repetitive force, often in the foot or lower leg. We assess for biomechanical contributors, provide activity guidelines for recovery, and recommend support options such as offloading footwear or orthoses.

  • Knee and lower limb pain

Pain in the knees or legs may be linked to poor foot alignment or overcompensation. We conduct a full lower limb biomechanical assessment to identify imbalances and provide solutions including orthotics, exercises, and gait retraining.

Foot Pain Management Services

Chronic foot and ankle pain can impact your mobility and quality of life. We specialise in diagnosing and treating conditions like heel pain, bunions, arthritis, and Morton's neuroma, using tailored treatment plans to get you back on your feet.

Details on These Conditions:

  • Heel pain (plantar fasciitis)

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain, often caused by strain on the plantar fascia ligament. We offer targeted therapies including stretching programs, footwear modifications, and custom orthotics to reduce inflammation and support healing.

  • Bunions and hammer toes

Bunions and hammer toes can cause significant discomfort, affect walking, and limit footwear choices. We provide conservative management such as padding, splints, and orthotics to relieve pressure and slow progression, along with referral options if surgery is needed.

  • Ankle instability and sprains

Recurring ankle sprains or feelings of weakness may indicate instability. Our management includes balance training, strength exercises, and stabilising orthotics to improve joint control and prevent future injuries.

  • Morton's neuroma (nerve pain in the ball of the foot)

This condition involves thickening of tissue around a nerve, often between the toes, causing burning or tingling sensations. We treat it with footwear adjustments, metatarsal padding, orthotics, and if necessary, referral for injection therapy or surgery.

  • Tendonitis and ligament pain

Inflammation of tendons or ligaments can arise from overuse, poor biomechanics, or improper footwear. Our treatment involves load management, supportive taping, orthotic intervention, and guided exercise rehabilitation to restore normal function.

  • Arthritis-related foot pain

Arthritis in the feet can cause stiffness, swelling, and ongoing discomfort. We focus on reducing joint stress with cushioning orthotics, footwear advice, and gentle mobility strategies to improve daily comfort and maintain activity levels.

  • Cysts and minor foot growths

Benign growths like ganglion cysts can cause pressure and pain depending on their location. We provide assessment and guidance on offloading, footwear modification, and referral for aspiration or surgical removal if needed.

Children's Podiatry Services

Children's feet are constantly growing and developing, which is why early assessment is key. We treat a range of paediatric foot concerns, including flat feet, in-toeing, out-toeing, and growing pains, to ensure your child's feet develop properly and pain-free.

Further Information:

  • Flat feet and high arches

While flat feet can be normal in young children, persistent flatness or very high arches can cause fatigue, clumsiness, or pain. We assess foot function and may recommend supportive footwear, orthotics, and strengthening activities if needed.

  • In-toeing and out-toeing

These gait patterns can result from hip, knee, or foot positioning. Most cases resolve with growth, but persistent or severe cases may benefit from monitoring, exercises, and advice to support normal walking patterns and coordination.

  • Toe-walking

Toe-walking is common in toddlers but should reduce by age three. Ongoing toe-walking may be linked to tight calf muscles or neurological issues. We assess flexibility and motor function, and provide stretching guidance or referrals as appropriate.

  • Knock knees and bow legs

These leg alignments are part of typical development but can persist in some children and affect their balance or comfort. We monitor growth, offer postural advice, and may suggest activity modification or orthotics if discomfort occurs.

  • Growing pains (Sever's disease, Osgood-Schlatter disease)

Pain at the heels or knees during growth spurts is often due to traction at growth plates. We help manage symptoms with rest strategies, stretching programs, activity modifications, and orthotic support when necessary.

  • Warts and skin conditions in children

Children are prone to plantar warts and other skin concerns due to close contact at schools and sports. We offer gentle, child-friendly treatment options and advice on preventing recurrence.
